Portici Magica is a two-player card game that combines elements of strategy, luck and set collection into a fast-paced and addictive challenge, making it perfect for short but intense gaming sessions.
In a magical city, players must collect orbs and activate locations to accumulate victory points. At the start of the game, the 18 cards are shuffled and laid out on the table (partly covered, partly not) in four rows that form the City. Each row is arranged offset from the previous one.
During the game, players take turns picking a free card, i.e. with no other cards underneath. Each collected card can be either placed in the player's inventory, to add orbs and amulets, or activated if you have the necessary orbs in your inventory.
The game ends when all City cards have been collected. Players add up the points from the activated cards and additional points based on the type of amulet most present in their inventory. The winner is whoever has the highest score.
